"We are so excited about Heron's Lodge Day Care Centre because there are not many opportunities for day care in our
area. Our aim is to enhance our clients' day by providing fun and interesting activities while
socialising with other individuals in a relaxed countryside surrounding."

Heron's Lodge Adult Day Care Centre

Heron’s Lodge Adult Day Care Centre was established on September 1st 2015. Here at Heron’s Lodge we provide a fun packed day whilst chatting with friends, a delicious home cooked lunch and nibbles throughout. We thrive off our clients and their lovely smiles when they have an enjoyable day out with us. Heron’s Lodge provide exceptional care whilst taking part in interesting activities. These include :- Arts & Crafts, Baking, Board Games, Card Games, Quizzes, Bingo, Chair Exercises and many more.  We provide personal care if needed.

The Lodge consists of two comfortable sitting rooms located on the ground floor, two disabled toilets, a bright dining area and a large front decking. It is managed by Sue Poole and Laura Sanders who are both very experienced and qualified members of our care team.

Both managers have been responsible for Adult Care for over 20 years, so present and prospective clients will be guaranteed a pleasurable, varied day.

Herons Lodges’s objective is to provide a fun and stimulating day filled with laughter throughout.

A home cooked lunch is provided. Beverages and snacks are also provided throughout the day.

Vegetarian and allergies are catered for.

We like to keep it small and personal so we can only cater up to 12 clients a day, with very limited spaces now available.

Who can benefit?

Able elderly adults who are in need of some company and a ‘day out’ of their normal routine from home life.

Elderly Adults living with dementia.

Adults with mild disabilities who want to make some new friends.

"When Roy's previous day care centre had to close, I was very wary of finding another which was
caring and not leaving their clients sitting around doing very little all day. So I was delighted to find
Heron's Lodge Adult Day Care Centre which was about to open. On meeting Laura and Sue for the first time, I knew this was not
going to be the case. They are very lively, energetic ladies and always have a smile on their faces, greeting
everybody as if they are the most important person and making them feel wanted."

and Laura are so friendly and welcoming, they had soon established a clear understanding of mum's

delighted mum is very well cared for and that she has gained a new circle of friends."
